Welcome to Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a city of bridges and historical stone buildings, set among mountains, rivers, and parks. Established in 1758, Pittsburgh now shines as one of the most accessible cities in the US. With the largest inland port, more bridges than any other city in the world (over 400 bridges within it's city limits) and The Pittsburgh International Airport ranked as one of the top five U.S. airports by Conde Nast Traveler, its easy to see why an average of 3.9 million people visit Pittsburgh annually.
Pittsburgh repeatedly ranks in the top five Most Livable Cities in the United States, holding the honors in the 1983, 1985, 1989 and 2007 editions of the "Places Rated Almanac." With 29 world-class universities, world-reknown medical facilities, and home to numerous innovative technologies, Pittsburgh successfully competes in the 21st century while retaining it's old-world charm. We hope you will enjoy the blend of early architecture and friendly neighborhoods, the sophisticated theater arts district and the abundance of natural and family parks, as well as the scenery and entertainment on our famous three rivers!
